Current Project

Located within the San Miguelito neighborhood of San Salvador exists an old house that has been utilized as a dental clinic and a medical clinic. The dream of both Sonrisas and Smiles and the Gomez family of El Salvador is to create a large dental clinic in one corner of this building. The clinic will boast three dental stations with modern sterilization equipment and instruments. Local children will have access to dental care as volunteers are available. Unfortunately, the building requires a lot of love to create safe and clean spaces within the building. Follow along as we make repairs to the building and build a simple but functional dental space within.

The current clinic space is very small, lacks a closed water system with equipment that is difficult to use. We aim to triple or quadruple this space.

The compressor for the small clinic is outside the space. We hope to utilized the current clinic room as the compressor room and recreate a 3 chair dental clinic outside the existing room.
